Start with the brewer or cup, then choose the filter
Match the filter shape to the brewer's holder or the intended cup before comparing pack counts. Model names and cup capacity are useful references; actual dimensions and an opened sample establish the fit.

Read basket model numbers and paper grades separately
For Zhongji's basket filters, the first number is the laid-flat diameter and the second is the base diameter, both in mm. Model 200/80 therefore means 200 mm laid flat and an 80 mm base. Neither number is the wall height; use the separate height column on the product page.
Cone and fan-shaped filters, plus basket models 155/45 and 185/50, use 50 gsm paper. Basket models 200/80 and 250/110 use 21 gsm paper. GSM is mass per unit area, not weight per filter or a thickness measurement.
Check the selected format in a real brewing setup
Send the brewer or dripper model, holder measurements, or cup-rim dimensions with a photograph or drawing. Compare an opened sample in the intended setup. Record the filter model, coffee dose, grind and water volume so that sample feedback refers to the same brewing conditions.
Request documents for the selected paper, colour and format. The cited coffee-paper assessments concern submitted natural-brown paper; the Intertek sample's basis weight is still awaiting confirmation. The product page does not assign that report separately to the 21 gsm basket models. Cup-supported assemblies also need the filter and support components identified.
Specify the pack and the order as separate quantities
State the filter model, paper colour, filters per bag or box, total bags or boxes, destination and label or outer-pack artwork. A 100-filter retail pack is a packing choice, not the total order quantity. Keep the cup-supported design and packing arrangement in the same request.
Questions about coffee filter selection
Can I choose a coffee filter by cup count alone?
Use cup count as a reference, then match the filter shape and actual dimensions to the brewer's holder. For cup-supported filters, check the opened support against the cup rim. Approve a sample in your intended brewing setup.
What does basket filter size 200/80 mean?
It means a 200 mm laid-flat diameter and an 80 mm base diameter. Both numbers are in millimetres; wall height is a separate measurement.
Do all coffee filter models use the same paper weight?
No. Cone and fan-shaped filters and basket models 155/45 and 185/50 use 50 gsm; basket models 200/80 and 250/110 use 21 gsm. Match the paper grade and document scope to the selected model.
